They were costume jewelry, but beautiful nonetheless so after replacing the hook I was able to wear them all night without any irritation.I received a beautiful pair of handmade turquoise earrings for Mother’s Day. They were crafted on a post earring, but a tad too heavy to be on a post, causing the earring to pull down on my ear lobe. I ordered these hook style post to change out in the earrings. I needed sterling silver to prevent an allergic reaction. I was nervous the wire may be too thin, but not at all! Great quality and they were exactly as describe! I’ll order again and keep some in stock so I can change out the earring posts on fashion earrings I love but don’t wear because they have poor quality posts. Thank you!Very shiny worked greatWow what can I say, 40 earring wires that are sterling silver for the price I paid! These will work perfectly for some hand made earrings I am making. Later I will try and post a photo of the finished product using these fishhook S.S. wires! Might need to check the price, as I was able to get them during a limited time deal. Also, the packaging was OK, but it was sent wrapped in plastic no larger than the little zip bag and I almost didn't see them in the box. Check them out for yourself and don't let the packaging thing keep you from ordering!These are the best earwires I have bought in a very long time. I love there long shank. They are not flimsy..I would quess the wire is about 21 gauge. I have read some reviews that these ear wires are not sterling silver. I bought them any way not knowing whether that review is true or not.I am very pleased with my purchase..and I would definitely buy them again. And again I am believing the stamping of 925 on the earwires is true..These "silver" hooks turned dark colored within a day or two. I am not happy with them and won't order them again.These are not 925 sterling silver and they are not nickle free So tired of being ripped off when it comes to buying hooks. this is like 3 or 4 time for me. There is someone selling false product. I wish Amazon could catch them.These may be sterling coated but they are deffo not sterling. Moi qui a les oreilles sensible si ce n'est pas de la qualité mes oreilles me le disent le jour même. Elles enflent et deviennent rouge. Mais avec ses boucles d'oreilles aucun problème. L'épaisseur est bonne aussi car d'autre boucles sont vendus moins cher mais juste à forcer pour rentrer dans l'oreille qui sait un peu refermé durant la nuit se tordent, mais pas ceux-là. Si j'en rachète ce sont ceux-ci.
