I have been looking for a kit like this for a long time. I used this on an acrylic bath tub to match the color. I used fiberglass sheets to repair a hole in my tub. Then sanded the fiberglass even. Next, I used this kit to gelcoat overtop of the fiberglass to get a color match. I had to do three layers of gelcoat to get the color match correct. The first coat dried too gray. The next batch dried much closer, but still too light. The third batch dried exactly the same color as my tub. If your doing a color match, I recommend doing small batches and taking your time. Recording the number of color drops you used and adjusting each time. You will probably not get an exact match on your first try.As mentioned in another review, the instructions are confusing. The instructions use a combination of cups, tablespoons, teaspoons, milliliters, and drops. (Add one teaspoon of hardener to 4 tablespoons of resin. But the hardener has a ml measurements on the bottle). I started by converting all measurements to milliliters. My kit did not come with the color match chart. So I had to use the picture on amazon as a reference. It helped, but did not seem accurate. The dye colors are EXTREMELY STRONG. You may only end up using ONE DROP of dye. I recommend making very small batches to try and find your color match first. I ruined my first batch with two drops of reddish brown. It turned the resin very dark. (Not what the chart shows). I end up transferring a small amount of that brown mixed gel to dye my final batch to get the perfect color match.
