I bought these to help secure my floating dock to my fixed dock but these were certainly not designed for that use. First of all, with the open hook, the fall off as the dock moves up and down. Secondly, they do not float and will sink straight down to the bottom.So, I give these a five star rating because they are as advertised and I'm sure we can put them to use somewhere else. However, they are not what I was looking for and do not work for me. Won't return them because I made the choice to buy then and they simply didn't work.Great product and I'm sure I'll be happy once we find out where to use them.
